Your Role:

We have an exciting new opportunity available for an Electrical Traction Isolation Planner. Reporting to the STTE Manager Wellington Metro. You will be responsible for creating and developing of accurate Traction isolation plans including all related documents and providing these to Traction Control and the Network Services Traction team for implementation.

This will involve writing and safely planning all isolations within the Wellington Metro area and coordinating isolation requests with stakeholders. You will also provide guidelines on how to work safely around OLE to contractors or other KiwiRail discipline by reviewing Methodologies or through site visits.

Your Skillset:

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Proven ability to work under pressure
  • EWRB registered Electrician or Lineman qualified
  • Have above average skills in Excel
  • Eye for detail
  • Ability to work with ambiguity while keeping to a clear plan
  • Timely and accurate
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written
  • Knowledge of Electrical Industry statutes, codes of practice, standards, and trade practices.
  • Good understanding of occupational health and safety and risk management requirements
