He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the Role

 

We’re looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Investigator who can lead investigations and make strategic decisions.

 

In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for:

 

  • Leading high-level safety investigations
  • Implementing investigation policies and procedures
  • Integrating learnings into safety initiatives and programs
  • Supporting and mentoring the business to drive continuous improvement

 

As a subject matter expert in safety investigations, you will uphold best practices, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote the use of standardized investigation tools and planning across the business.

 

You will also play a key role in developing and sustaining safety investigation capability by working with business units and Safety, Health & Wellbeing (SHW) partners to embed consistent investigation practices.

 

Ngā pukenga e rapu nei mātou | What You Will Bring

 

Ideally, you will bring:

 

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar investigation or safety role.
  • A deep understanding of incident investigation methodologies, such as ICAM, and experience applying them in high-risk, time-sensitive environments.
  • Expertise in analysing incidents and producing high-quality reports that support corrective actions and safety improvements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external agencies, maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • A qualification in incident investigation and analysis, with HSE or human factors training preferred.
  • A current and valid NZ driver’s licence and the ability to travel as required.
