Customer Delivery

As part of the Customer and Supply Chain team, Customer Delivery is an integral part of ensuring KiwiRail commitment to achieve and maintain a core KiwiRail Value of providing Great Customer Experiences.

Customer Delivery is made up of three core focus areas. These being Customers, Logistics and Rosters.

Customer Logistic Specialists

Customer Logistic Specialists are a key element of KiwiRail’s drive to be a world-class, customer centric logistics provider. You will have the opportunity to work with customers across KiwiRail’s three key lines of business: IMEX (import and export), Domestic, and Bulk, learning how to prevent and solve problems across a variety of customers – no one challenge is the same.

Tasked with the tactical rollout of KiwiRail’s customer promises and driving the Customer Voice, the role provides a challenging and rewarding insight into supply chain management.

Logistics

The logistics team are nationally responsible for day of operations and daily alterations to our operating plan. We manage freight and resources for over 300 train services a day and work closely with multiple internal stakeholders to ensure successful on-time delivery to our customers. If you enjoy working in a fast pace environment, solution based thinking and building great working relationships then Logistics is for you.

Rosters

Are nationally responsible for effective and efficient management and coordination of 1000+ rostered KiwiRail staff within 40+ business units. Rostering is an fascinating part of our operation where both strategic and contingency management approaches are applied to achieve key operational tasks and goals. A focus of Zero Harm related rostering policies and procedures aides and supports the wider KiwiRail team to perform there duties safety while minimising impacts to our customers and the KiwiRail operation.
