We’re looking for a Microsoft Fabric Platform Administrator to help manage and support KiwiRail’s enterprise data and analytics platform.
In this role, you will oversee the governance, security, and day-to-day operation of Microsoft Fabric, ensuring data, analytics, and reporting services run efficiently, securely, and in line with enterprise standards. You’ll work closely with data engineers, analysts, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders to support a scalable and well-governed analytics environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and optimise Microsoft Fabric capacity, performance, and usage
- Implement governance standards for workspaces, datasets, and lifecycle management
- Administer user access, roles, and security controls
- Monitor platform performance and troubleshoot data and analytics workloads
- Manage data gateways, integrations, and external data connections
- Support teams with best practices, onboarding, and platform guidance
- Help automate platform management using PowerShell, APIs, or similar tools
What you will bring
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Azure Data services, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance practices
- Familiarity with Azure AD / Entra ID identity management
- Understanding of data engineering and analytics environments
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
