He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the Role
As a HR Services Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of HR services initiatives across KiwiRail. This fixed-term role for 8 months will see you working closely with the HR Services Manager and the wider People & Culture team to lead specific HR workstreams, including online performance and remuneration processes in SAP Success Factors, HRIS optimisation, and more. You will champion continuous improvement and collaboration to ensure the delivery of a seamless employee experience across the organisation. Your expertise in HR systems, particularly SAP SuccessFactors, will be essential in gathering business requirements, identifying opportunities for improvements, and implementing effective solutions. You’ll contribute to the development of policies and frameworks that reflect best practices and enhance KiwiRail’s employee experience

We’re looking for a proactive HR professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality HR services. Ideally, you will bring:
- Experience managing technical projects and change in a medium to large organisation.
- Proven HRIS experience, especially in SAP SuccessFactors or similar platforms.
- Good understanding of organisation structures and position management.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to gather requirements, analyse processes, and implement HR technology solutions.
- Experience in HR operations, systems, and processes with a business-focused mindset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of the organisation.
- Initiative and the ability to work autonomously, along with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- A tertiary qualification in HR or a related field (or equivalent experience).
