He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role

As our Internal Auditor (Safety, Health and Wellbeing), you’ll play a key role in upholding the integrity of our SHE Management System. You’ll lead audits that support continuous improvement, risk reduction, and compliance with critical safety controls.

You’ll assess how we work—reviewing systems, analysing operational data, and engaging with teams across the business. Your insights will help ensure our people stay safe, our practices remain robust, and our operations run smoothly. This is a role that combines precision, communication, and collaboration.

 

Ngā pūkenga e rapu nei mātou | What you will bring

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in internal audits, with a Lead Auditor certification (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 9001, or similar)
  • Familiar with safety, quality, and environmental regulations in New Zealand
  • Skilled in risk-based auditing and using digital tools for reporting and analysis
  • Confident engaging with a range of stakeholders and presenting findings constructively
  • Focused on continuous improvement and driving safe outcomes
  • A strong communicator, both written and verbal
  • Organised, independent, and able to plan and deliver audits with care and precision

You’ll also need to have:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field (Health & Safety, Engineering, Quality Assurance)
  • 5+ years in a compliance or safety-related role
  • A valid NZ driver’s licence
  • The ability to travel regularly and pass drug and alcohol screening
