Title: Power BI and Data Control Analyst

What you’ll do
This role is crucial in helping KiwiRail make strategic decisions by creating advanced Power BI reports and dashboards. You will be responsible for developing and managing our central capital management system in Power BI.
The role involves both Power BI development and ensuring data is controlled, accurate and consistent across multiple systems. The creation of a single, reliable source of project information will offer insights into cost, time and risk – improving how we track project performance.
Key accountabilities include:
- Creating and maintaining advanced Power BI reports and dashboards
- Supporting the integrating of data from multiple systems, including Maximo, SAP, Riskonnect, Primavera P6
- Producing management reports for governance boards and executives and managing the Project Status Report
- Working closely with cross-functional teams and fostering strong relationships
- Identifying improvement opportunities and staying updated on trends and best practice
What you'll need
You will need to demonstrate sound experience as a data analyst as well as:
- Experience with complex data and reporting with a focus on creating effective dashboards and reports
- An understanding of project management principles and practices
- A knowledge of Power BI or willingness to learn Power BI
- Familiarity with data integration from various sources
- The ability to interpret complex data sets
