KiwiRail is looking for a SharePoint Analyst to support the management and improvement of our information platforms across the organisation. 

In this role, you will design, configure, and maintain SharePoint solutions that help teams collaborate, manage documents, and meet information management and compliance requirements. You will work closely with the Data and Information Architect, Information Lead, and business stakeholders to ensure SharePoint solutions are aligned with KiwiRail’s information strategy. 

You will also play an important role in helping the organisation meet government information management and compliance requirements, including Archives NZ standards. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Gathering requirements and translating business needs into SharePoint sites, structures, and workflows 
  • Designing site architecture, metadata models, libraries, lists, and permissions 
  • Building and configuring SharePoint sites, pages, Power Automate flows, and Power Apps 
  • Supporting content owners with taxonomy, metadata, and information governance 
  • Maintaining the SharePoint environment including permissions, site collections, and configuration 
  • Monitoring platform performance and providing Tier 2/3 support for SharePoint-related issues 
  • Supporting integration with Microsoft 365 tools such as Teams, OneDrive, and Power Automate 
  • Promoting best practice, training users, and improving adoption across the organisation
