We have a fantastic opportunity for an Intermediate level system support person to join the team based at Kiwirail Waltham office. As a Business Systems Support, you will be responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of our SharePoint environment. You will also be working with cross-functional teams on document management, general systems support and Power BI reporting.

 

Reporting to the Information Systems and Business Support Leader, the role has primary accountability for the continued compliance and improvement of the multiple Business Management systems within Rolling Stock Asset Services.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the planning, design, configuration, customisation, implementation, and maintenance of the SharePoint environment for Rolling Stock Asset Services
  • Implement security best practices to safeguard SharePoint data and ensure compliance with company policies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance document management processes
  • Participate in the evaluation, integration, implementation of new technologies to improve business systems, with a focus on MS stack technologies and beyond
  • Develop and maintain Power BI reports, translating data into actionable insights
  • Train end-users and provide ongoing support for system-related inquiries
  • Provide day-to-day systems support, troubleshooting issues and ensuring optimal functionality

 

What you’ll need:

  • Work experience in SharePoint administration, customisation and security and permission settings
  • Demonstrate strong computer skills to navigate and utilize various systems effectively alongside an intermediate level of expertise in MS Excel
  • Proficiency in providing general MS Office Suite support.
  • Experience Microsoft 365 integration is a plus (Power Automate, Power Apps).Strong understanding of document management principles
  • High Attention to detail.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Positive and proactive with a’ Can-do’ attitude.
  • Inquisitive, self-motivated, and able ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • You will have exceptional stakeholder management skills, including interacting with senior executives
  • Knowledge and experience of using BI tools to create reports or dashboards, i.e. Power BI, Power Query, DAX, is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Master Data Management principles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information and Communications Technology, or a related field would be preferred but not essential
  • Knowledge and experience of SAP is preferred
  • Current and valid NZ Drivers Licence
