This is an entry-level role where you will receive excellent training and support to set you up for success and a rewarding career in rail.

 

We have several projects to deliver across the country and, have a permanent full-time position available that is guaranteed to kick start your career in the rail industry.

 

What you’ll do:

  • As a member of our maintenance teams, you will work in a team environment carrying out maintenance, repairs, and renewals of the infrastructure asset (the train tracks) in a safe, cost-effective, and timely manner
  • This is an outdoor role you will need to be physically fit, willing to work in all weather conditions, and not afraid to get your hands dirty
  • You must also be available to work Monday to Friday from 07:30AM
  • On Job Training will be provided to ensure your capable and competent to execute specific trasks

 

What you’ll need:

  • A Clean NZ Drivers Licence, Class 1 is essential in this role
  • Class 2 (HT Licence) is advantageous, but if not, we can support you in getting one if it's required in your role
  • Ideally, you will have experience in the construction industry or in a heavy laboring environment, using light mechanical hand tools
  • You will be results-driven and have the ability to follow safety guidelines
  • A solid level of both verbal and written communication is also important in this role
  • You must also be able to pass a Ministry of Justice check and complete a mandatory medical and drug test to be considered for this role
