He whakamārama mo te tūranga mahi | About the role:
As a member of a KiwiRail maintenance team, you would be required to work efficiently in a team environment to carry maintenance, repairs, or renewals of the infrastructure asset. Under the supervision and direction of the Structures Leading Hand, the team is responsible for carrying out maintenance in a timely and cost-effective manner through the application of appropriate work methods. Located in Greymouth, this is a full time, permanent position. Normal working hours will be Tuesday to Friday, 4 x 10-hour's per day shifts. This is not flexible and are subject to change as per business needs.
Health and Safety is an important part of how KiwiRail operates. You will be a safety leader and will be expected to “walk the safety talk”.

Your skills:
· Trade Certificate in Carpentry or similar is desirable.
· Ability to work at heights and work outdoors in all weather.
· Ability to travel and stay away overnight on occasions.
· Ability to attend call back/outs when required.
· A demonstrated commitment to health and safety in the workplace.
· Current New Zealand Class 1 drivers’ licence, Class 2 desirable.
