This role is based in Te Whanganui-a-tara / Wellington and is predominantly Monday-Friday but requires flexibility based on demand.

As a Production Planner, you will work closely with our Wiring Workshop, Relay Lab, Engineering, Infrastructure and Project teams, to create a national signals supply plan, that reflects an agreed demand plan that is achievable, optimises resources, and minimises rework.
 

What you’ll do

  • Work closely with Engineering, Capital Projects, and regional infrastructure teams to establish accurate demand requirements and dates for forward scheduling and level loading when demand peaks are greater than available capacity
  • Create a national signals plan to meet demand requirements from Infrastructure teams and Capital Projects to establish accurate material requirements
  • Ensure planning is carried out for all work activities to enable the Wiring Workshop and Relay Lab to complete the tasks to the expected times, labour hours, and quality
  • Control the schedule that results from the national plan, managing and communicating change impacts for our suppliers and internal customers
  • Be responsible for planning resources that are required to undertake the work activities in-line with the build story, task instruction, and or project management plan
  • Ensure materials, tooling, and equipment are available line-side to enable smooth execution of work asked for by the production schedule

 

What you’ll need

  • 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain roles
  • Conversant in supply chain planning and scheduling principles 
  • Excellent communicator across all levels of a business
  • Ability to influence and provide critical insights through robust data analysis
  • Proficient in analysis and reporting software suites, e.g. Microsoft excel, SAP APO
