• Starting hourly rate between $29.68- $33.91 (Based on qualifications & experience)

We are looking for two Mechanical Engineers to join our Locomotive Servicing team based at our Mt Maunganui depot.

This is a hands-on role where you will service locomotives and carry out minor repairs. You will help deliver reliable, high-quality work that meets our safety and performance standards.

You will work closely with a skilled and supportive team, contributing to KiwiRail’s investment in the future of rail.

What you’ll be doing:

• Service locomotives and shunts
• Use tools and machinery to complete mechanical tasks
• Troubleshoot and resolve locomotive issues
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times
• Build your skills through on-the-job training
