He whakamārama mo te tūranga mahi | About the role

We are looking for a confident and people-focused Terminal Operations Manager to lead our freight terminal in Mt Maunganui.

• Lead the safe and efficient movement of freight in and out of the terminal
• Manage, coach and develop terminal staff to support high performance
• Ensure resources are used effectively and operational safety standards are met consistently
• Make sound decisions under pressure and influence positive outcomes
• Maintain strong service delivery to our customers and internal partners
• Work Monday-Friday day shift, with an on-call component supporting  24/7 operations

• Experience in operations, logistics, or a similar fast-paced environment
• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to build high performing teams
• A visible commitment to health, safety, and wellbeing
• Confidence managing performance, coaching leaders, and supporting staff development
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate with customers and stakeholders
• Experience investigating incidents and driving practical improvements
• Roster planning and resource/cost management capability
• A full, clean Driver License
