He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role:
As an Asset Management Planner, you’ll play a key role in keeping KiwiRail’s network running safely and efficiently. You’ll work alongside Regional Asset Managers and other engineering teams to develop and maintain forward works plans for rail infrastructure across the country.
This includes preparing accurate three-year and ten-year asset forecasts, ensuring our plans align with KiwiRail’s long-term strategies, and monitoring performance against objectives. You’ll help us make evidence-based decisions that support reliable services, smart investment, and a great customer experience.
Ngā pukenga e rapu nei mātou | What you will bring:
We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a collaborative approach. You will bring:
- 5–10 years’ experience in asset management planning, scheduling, or works management
- Strong analytical and data-visualisation skills using tools such as Power BI, Excel, or GIS
- Working knowledge of engineering standards and processes
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and an understanding of how KiwiRail operates within government frameworks
- A relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience
- A current New Zealand driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required
