He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role:
As Field Production Manager (Traction – OLE), you’ll lead the planning and delivery of overhead line equipment (OLE) maintenance across Auckland’s Metro network. You’ll manage day-to-day field operations routine, corrective, and preventive and oversee isolation and Electrical Safety Observer (ESO) services. Acting as a key link between frontline teams and wider engineering, asset, and leadership teams, you’ll make sure work is done safely, efficiently, and to high standards.This is a leadership role that requires technical depth, strong coordination skills, and the ability to guide, mentor, and motivate a large team. You’ll ensure your crew is well-resourced, aligned with safety codes, and delivering outcomes that keep the network running.

You’ll bring the right mix of field experience, technical insight, and people leadership to make a difference. You’ll need:
• Proven experience in OLE installation and maintenance
• Strong team management and organisational skills
• Sound understanding of isolation and ESO systems
• A collaborative, safety-first mindset
• Ability to coach, mentor, and lead diverse teams
• Capability to manage resource allocation, planning, and reporting
It’s also desirable that you have:
• A tertiary qualification in engineering
• EWRB registration (or a willingness to obtain it)
