He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role:
Based at the Auckland Rail Operations Centre, this is a key role within our Network Services team. As Infrastructure Service Delivery Lead, you’ll act as the main liaison between Network Control, KiwiRail teams, and external partners. You'll coordinate and communicate all on-the-day infrastructure delivery, ensuring planned works and incident responses are safe, timely, and aligned with performance targets. This role operates on a 24/7 rotating shift, managing real-time challenges, escalating issues where needed, and chairing key performance and operational meetings. Your leadership and coordination will ensure infrastructure supports reliable train services across Auckland.

We’re looking for someone with strong communication and coordination skills who thrives in a dynamic environment. Ideally, you’ll have:


•    Experience in transport, infrastructure, or service delivery environments
•    Proven ability to manage and analyse operational performance
•    Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills
•    Knowledge of the Auckland rail network and its infrastructure
•    Ability to work under pressure and make sound operational decisions
•    Proficiency with tools such as ARIS, SAP, and asset databases
•    A Rail Medical Category 2 standard (or ability to obtain it)

 

Desirable qualifications:
•    Rail technical knowledge
•    Tertiary qualification or trade background in engineering
•    Experience with process mapping and change management
•    Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies
