If you are hands on person with electrical registration/qualification and have a desire to learn from some of the best, this could be the right opportunity for you. Based at our Palmerston North depot, you will be responsible for the provision of effective, reliable and efficient day to day operations of all Signaling assets. This will include the maintenance, installation, restoration, and repair of Signal interlocking components, so an interest in this area would be advantageous. This role is challenging, fast paced and in an environment where using initiative and problem solving is celebrated.

Ideally you are a qualified Signals Technician, however we will consider applications for a Trainee position who come from a background as a registered Electrician. This is a great development opportunity where you will receive excellent on the job training alongside our current Signals team who are keen to pass on their skills and knowledge.

 

As a person, you will be reliable, enthusiastic and have a strong commitment to Health & Safety. If you are passionate about a career in rail and have the willingness to be part of a callout roster to attend to emergency failures after hours with the ability to work outside in all weather, then we would like to hear from you.
