He whakamārama mo te tūranga mahi | About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Operations Container Terminal Manager to lead our Auckland terminal operation. This is a hands‑on leadership role in a 24/7 operational environment where safety, service delivery, and people leadership are key.  This includes health & safety, budgeting, service quality, efficiency and meeting train and road transport timeliness. You will lead three direct reports and engage with a large team of 40+ staff and be responsible for safety, customer engagement and performance.

• Develop long-term operational and safety plans and implement systems to gather performance data for continuous improvement
• Ensure seamless operation and service delivery to our key stakeholders and customers
• Manage and develop terminal teams in a unionised environment
• Drive a strong Zero Harm safety culture
• Ensure on-time performance, and service delivery
• Build trusted relationships with customers and key stakeholders

• Proven operational and people leadership experience and the ability to develop high-performing teams
• Background in freight, transport, or logistics
• Strong commercial acumen, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
• Customer-focused mindset, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience in managing projects
• Full, clean driver’s licence
