He whakamārama mo te tūranga mahi | About the role:

 

We have great summer opportunities for motivated Customer Service Specialists to join our team on a part-time, fixed-term basis, looking after our Interislander and Scenic Train passengers and their luggage.  Ideally, we need you on board from October/November 2025 to end of April 2026, or earlier by negotiation.

 

 

You’ll not only provide exceptional customer service delivery to our passengers, you will also:

 

 

  • Coordinate passengers and their bookings
  • Assist with ticketing and check-in services for both passengers, their vehicles and commercial vehicles
  • Ensure passenger’s luggage is well looked after and properly labelled
  • Provide general travel advice and information to our passengers

 

 

We are looking for people with exceptional customer service skills and a can-do attitude who are passionate about the service they deliver.

  • Be able to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment
  • Have a strong customer focus with the ability to relate to people at all levels
  • Have a sense of urgency and work with speed and accuracy

  • Maintain your composure and help keep passengers calm in high stress situations
  • Have impeccable attention to detail and a talent for multi-tasking
  • Have exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
  • Have a moderate level of physical fitness as lifting of passenger's luggage is required
