Title: Trainee Structures Worker (Pukekohe)

- Position will be based in Pukekohe
- Starting rate of $29.68 + penal rates
- Full Time - Permanent - 40 hours per Week (Monday to Thursday 4 x 10 hour shifts)

As a Trainee Structures Worker based in Pukekohe, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for maintaining and repairing KiwiRail’s rail infrastructure.
This is a hands-on, outdoor role where you’ll support the construction, maintenance, and repair of railway structures while learning from experienced team members. You’ll work with tools and equipment and gain valuable practical skills in a supportive environment.
Safety is central to everything we do,You’ll play an important role in maintaining high safety standards while delivering work efficiently and to a high quality.
This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Thursday (four 10-hour shifts), offering excellent work–life balance.

- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights
- Strong teamwork and clear communication skills
- A proactive, safety-first mindset
- Flexibility to travel and stay away overnight when required
- Full, clean Class 1 driver’s licence (Class 2 is an advantage)
- NCEA Level 1 in Maths and English, or equivalent
Previous experience in labouring, construction, carpentry, or a related field is advantageous but not required — full training will be provided.
