KiwiRail is undergoing significant transformation as we modernise and grow our rail and ferry services across Aotearoa. As our Corporate Workspace Manager, you’ll take ownership of the Wellington Railway Station corporate workplace — ensuring it operates smoothly, safely, and delivers a high-quality experience for our people and visitors. Reporting to the National Facilities Manager, you’ll lead front-of-house operations while coordinating day-to-day site activity across a busy, high-visibility environment. You’ll act as the key point of contact for workplace operations, managing issues, supporting staff, and ensuring the space reflects KiwiRail as a professional and welcoming organisation. This is a hands-on role where you’ll balance operational delivery with stakeholder coordination, ensuring workplace services run efficiently and issues are resolved effectively.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading the day-to-day management and operation of the Wellington corporate workplace
- Overseeing reception and front-of-house services to deliver a professional customer experience
- Acting as the main point of contact for building-related matters, coordinating issues and requests
- Providing frontline customer support as part of the team managing the public 0800 business line, handling enquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive customer experience
- Managing contractors, service providers, and on-site activities
- Supporting workspace changes, staff movements, and shared space utilisation
- Coordinating meetings, events, and workplace activities
- Managing access, security processes, and site readiness
- Maintaining high standards of presentation across reception and shared spaces
- Providing administrative support, including purchase orders and site tracking

- Experience in administration, reception, workplace or facilities environments
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to build relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Experience coordinating services, contractors, or site operations
- Confidence working in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong attention to detail
