He whakamārama mo te tūranga mahi | About the role:  

 

The Customer Contact Specialist is a busy one and each day you will play a part in delivering excellence in service delivery to our Interislander customers, both Commercial Vehicle and Passenger sectors.  You will maintain a high level of professional service delivery across multiple customer markets and channels.  This includes booking management through inbound/outbound phone calls, shared mailboxes and various specialised tasks.

 

We're looking for a talented person who is passionate about the service they provide, who thrives on a job well done and is committed to what they do.  

 

Ngā pukenga e rapu nei mātou | What (skills) you will bring:

 

You’ll have experience dealing with the public, ideally from a hospitality or tourist background.  You’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys customer contact and making a customer’s day even better!

 

To be successful you will:

 

  • Have experience with a range of Microsoft software packages and be comfortable with technology
  • Have great communication skills, both verbal and written – you need to understand our customers’ needs
  • Be resilient - this is a resilient role, some customer queries might be challenging so you’ll need to demonstrate patience, good judgement and a positive outcomes approach
  • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, looking at all possible solutions for our customers
  • Health & Safety is critical in our organisation, so you will need to have a strong safety focus and genuinely care about the well-being of your team and yourself at all times
