He whakamārama mo te tūranga mahi | About the role:
As a Financial Accountant, you will contribute to a broad range of activities including month-end and year-end reporting, treasury accounting, taxation support, journals and reconciliations. With a customer-focused approach, you will work with stakeholders across KiwiRail providing timely financial advice, support business decision-making, and help ensure the integrity and accuracy of key financial processes.
You’ll also provide essential support for treasury back-office and middle-office activities, support external audit requirements, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality financial reporting in a complex operating environment.
Ngā pukenga e rapu nei mātou | What (skills) you will bring:
- Three to five years’ experience in a financial accounting role
- You have a good understanding of financial processes, reporting requirements and NZ IFRS and/or PBE IPSAS
- A relevant commerce degree and CA (or equivalent) qualification, or working towards qualification
- Experience within a large or complex organisation would be advantageous
You’ll bring your excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team as well as being someone who can work independently. You’ll be great at building and maintaining effective working relationships and be enthusiastic at exploring new ways to improve processes and systems.
