He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role:
As a Fleet Analyst, you’ll be part of our Treasury and Insurance team, supporting the smooth operation of KiwiRail’s vehicle fleet. You’ll be responsible for maintaining accurate fleet records, supporting reporting systems, and working closely with our fleet providers and business units.
This role is essential to improving vehicle utilisation, analysing fleet performance, and contributing to smarter decision-making during a time of transformation. You’ll also help identify process improvements and assist with insurance claim support.

We’re looking for someone who’s comfortable with data, confident in communication, and focused on results.
You’ll bring:
- 3–5 years’ experience in administration or business support
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- A good understanding of data reporting and analysis
- Experience working with suppliers or external service providers
- A solutions-focused approach with great attention to detail
- A full, clean NZ Driver’s Licence
It’s also helpful if you have:
- Knowledge of basic finance or fleet administration
- Experience writing or updating policies and processes
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in administration or analysis
