Experienced recruiter required for a business partner role with Kiwirail

Our Talent Acquisition team supports the recruitment for the KiwiRail Group. We now have an opportunity for an experienced recruitment professional to join our team based in Wellington. This is a key role supporting our Interislander resilience Programme and the Wellington Metro Upgrade programme.

The work is meaningful and really adds value to the organisation. It would suit a seasoned recruiter who has worked within construction/infrastructure, or had an understanding of large scale programmes of work – the role is a combination of corporate and capital project recruitment.

You will partner with our stakeholders to guide them through the full end to end recruitment process, providing expertise and leadership around recruitment best practice to our Hiring Managers. As well as truly partnering with the business and setting the appropriate recruitment strategy for each role, you will also continue to support the team with wider recruitment support in other portfolios as required and contribute to our overall Talent Acquisition strategy for the KiwiRail business.

Successful applicants will have:

  • several years pure recruitment experience either in-house or agency
  • strong experience in technical disciplines such as engineering, infrastructure or rail
  • proven ability to work at pace across multiple portfolios.
  • Strong experience in search techniques to find hard to fill talent offshore
  • Demonstrated skills in working across all management levels and working in partnership with leadership teams.

Naturally you will have the ability to juggle and prioritise multiple tasks simultaneously and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and in dealing with ambiguity.
