Are you a student looking for work over the summer period? Are you in the hospitatliy industry that has been affected by the lockdown? COVID has a us all doing things a bit differently this year, so why not try something new?! These are fixed term roles and we have full time and  available that give you globally-recognised training (and is transferable) and some of the best views in the country. Apply today!

What does a Cabin Attendant do, you ask?

Well…as a Cabin Attendant on our Interislander ferries you will engage with the customer right from when they step on to the ship.  You will provide our customers with an exceptional experience whilst they are travelling across the Cook Strait by ensuring you stay focused and on your toes in a dynamic environment.

Whilst you are travelling the same route each time, no day on the Interislander looks the same.  One day you might be battling Wellington’s winds and you may be carrying predominantly freight, looking after the Commercial Vehicle drivers.  The next, it might be calm with no breeze and a ship full of passengers to cater to and ensure their crossing is a smooth one.

You will work on a walk-on, walk-off basis which means when you end your shift on the ship, you can go back to the comfort of your own home.  This would mean a Wellington home base would be beneficial!

We offer a salary of $53,465 per annum, pro rated for the period worked.  These roles are fixed term and we have both full time and part time work available.  We have varying start dates and these may be subject to change dependant on the current alert levels.  The roles will go right through until April 2022 to ensure we have people on board to work during our busy season!

The intake start dates for these roles are:

- 23 September 2021

- 4 October 2021

- 15 October 2021

  • Would like to be part of a team that is crucial to the freight and passenger movement around the country - you will also be responsible for their wellbeing and making sure everyone is kept safe on their journeys
