KiwiRail is recruiting for a 48-month fixed-term Requirements and Integration Manager based in Wellington.

This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced requirements/integration manager to join KiwiRail’s Inter-Island Resilient Connection Programme (iReX).

This is a highly important role within the Programme and forms part of the programme quality and risk assurance team. Working across all the workstreams of the programme, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing processes and plans for capturing of requirements through to their evaluation and validation.

 

You will lead the planning, monitoring, reporting, and controlling activities for the various iReX sub programmes and projects within the programme and their integration into the New Interislander and greater KiwiRail business and the processes and asset management systems therein.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining and enhancing the requirements definition and management plan for the project
  • Ensuring requirements are captured and tracked through the life of the programme utilising the KiwiRail mandated requirements system – DOORs
  • Developing the necessary processes and tracking to ensure the integration of the iReX sub programmes and projects
  • Managing the systems integration of iReX into the new business model for Interislander to enable it to achieve the iReX investment objectives
  • Support delivery teams to implement and mature the assurance framework for the iReX Programme
  • Work with the Programme Quality and Risk Assurance Manager to implement and put in place robust requirements management and integration processes and the mentoring and monitoring of the implementation across the works to be completed by iReX

To be successful in this role, you will have several years’ experience in a similar role working across large infrastructure or complex systems programmes of work.

 

You will have strong experience with utilising corporate and portfolio requirements and integration tracking systems, preferably with a working knowledge and experience in construction.


Importantly, you will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels both internally and externally, very strong written and verbal communication skills, and a collaborative, driven, and analytical approach.
