KiwiRail are looking for a Learning Coordinator to join our Learning and Development team in this permanent role.


We are open to this role being based in either Wellington, Auckland, or Hamilton.


Your Role:

The primary purpose of this role is to provide high quality coordination and support to KiwiRail business units and be the on-site learning representative within your portfolio.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Work closely with managers to determine development pathways for our people, including onboarding, growth, succession planning and both technical and leadership upskilling
  • Build an annual training schedule based on your portfolio requirements in collaboration with the L&D team
  • Manage the full learning process for events, courses, evaluations etc.
  • Monitor course numbers, updating learning profiles, & ensuring all systems are up to date and correct
  • Scheduling of external training with various suppliers
  • Proactively lead career progression conversations with managers
  • Work with various internal teams regarding monthly training budgets and reporting


Your Skills:

This is a great opportunity for a highly organised, proactive, and customer focussed candidate to get into the Learning & Development space.


We are looking for someone with excellent administration and coordination experience, as well as being customer centric and very strong communication, listening, and stakeholder management skills. You will receive training across everything you need to learn about L&D specifically - we simply need the right attitude.


In addition to the above attitudes and personality traits, you will also be proactive, reliable, able to work independently, have strong attention to detail, and show initiative.
