He whakamārama mo te tūranga mahi | About the role:

Our Payroll Advisor is responsible for the end-to-end processing of KiwiRail’s payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness across all payroll activities. This includes the collection, calculation, validation and input of employee data, as well as maintaining payroll records and producing reporting for internal and external stakeholders. This role contributes to payroll-related projects, provides expert advice to stakeholders and helps ensure KiwiRail meets all statutory and organisational obligations. As part of a collaborative payroll team, you will also support cross-coverage and deadline management while modelling safe and responsible behaviour in line with KiwiRail’s values. 

This could be a great opportunity for someone with an HR or finance graduate background to kick start their career in payroll.  It’s a busy and varied role with wide-ranging responsibilities to keep you on your toes and engaged in a vital role within our organisation.

We’re keen for you to bring your enthusiasm and can-do attitude to this role.  While some experience and knowledge of payroll and/or related systems is an advantage, it’s more about your ability to grasp processes and systems quickly and accurately.
