We’re seeking a self-starter, skilled Project Manager to help shape and deliver our future-focused maintenance model. Based in our Network Readiness team, you’ll lead the design and implementation of a robust delivery framework that supports smarter, safer, and more reliable maintenance across our metro rail network.

 

This fixed-term opportunity will see you collaborating with technical experts, stakeholders and delivery teams to align operational delivery with our access and asset management plans. You’ll apply your project management expertise and rail maintenance knowledge to bring innovation and structure to one of our most critical transformation programmes. 

 

Ngā pukenga e rapu nei mātou | What you will bring

 We’re looking for someone with a strong background in rail operations and a strategic, collaborative mindset. You’ll also bring:

 

  • Proven experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects

 

  • Expertise in rail asset maintenance / management, particularly in track, civils, formation or drainage

 

  • Understanding of automated and mechanised maintenance methods and logistics of rail corridor working

 

  • Familiarity with asset management systems and condition monitoring

 

  • Strong stakeholder engagement with investigation, report writing and leadership skills

 

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and/or project management certification and a good understanding in standards of construction
