He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role:
As our Regulatory Coordinator, you’ll support KiwiRail’s Regulatory team by coordinating key regulatory activities and engaging with external safety agencies.
You’ll play an important role in planning and supporting safety assessments, audits, and investigations by our regulators, ensuring KiwiRail continues to meet its regulatory obligations and maintain the highest safety standards.
This is a hands-on role where your organisation, communication, and relationship-building skills will help keep KiwiRail moving safely and confidently into the future.

You’ll be an organised, proactive professional who enjoys connecting people, processes, and information. You’ll bring:
- Sound knowledge of regulatory practice and audit regimes
- Experience managing multiple workstreams or projects
- Experience working with safety reporting to government or regulatory agencies
- Strong administrative skills, including recording meeting minutes and actions
- A tertiary qualification in administration, business, or a related discipline or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
- A collaborative, adaptable, and safety-focused mindset
