As the Senior Lease Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising KiwiRail’s commercial and operational lease portfolio across the Lower North Island and South Island. You will lead the Southern Leasing team, driving performance, compliance, and identifying opportunities for growth. The role will require strategic management of leases to ensure KiwiRail maximises revenue while aligning property management efforts with broader company objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Southern Leasing team in negotiating leases, ensuring compliance, and managing documentation.
- Drive performance, managing a diverse property portfolio and converting opportunities into financial returns.
- Develop business cases for new revenue opportunities and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Oversee timely execution of rent reviews, renewals, terminations, and assignments.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with tenants, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
Ngā pukenga e rapu nei mātou | What (skills) you will bring:
- 7-10 years of experience in lease management and commercial property management, including leading teams.
- Proven experience managing complex portfolios and navigating challenging lease negotiations.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to manage performance, optimise revenue, and analyse market trends.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Property Management, Valuation, or Real Estate, or equivalent industry experience.
